A
domain name is your ‘address’ on the www. Names are unique & are
only available until registered, so, it is essential to get in there, as
soon as possible, to reserve your name, even if the site has not yet
been created. If you wait, until ready, someone else might have taken
the name in the meantime.
I
can register domains with the URLs :-
www.**********.co.uk
www.**********.org.uk
www.**********.me.uk
www.**********.com
www.**********.net
www.**********.org
www.**********.biz
www.**********.info
www.**********.name
www.**********.tv
You might find that the .co.uk or .org.uk
extensions have been taken and that the .com or .net are still
available. It’s worth noting that these extensions are international
and also you have to pay more for them. More importantly, is the fact
that UK based Search Engines will give higher priority to UK addresses
than international ones. It would, therefore, probably be prudent to
find another .co.uk or .org.uk name that is still available.
